some of the best moments have been spent here. my sister and brother in law's wedding was here. one of my family member's had their communon party here. i also like the sibor mixers and awards breakfast here.

We had an amazing time celebrating our daughter's engagement party. The venue is beyond beautiful and the staff is more than accommodating. I had the pleasure of working with Patty who helped me time after time with the many changes we had to make due to a family misfortune. She was so kind and understanding and made sure everything was perfect when we finally did celebrate our event. The food was delicious and I cannot say more about the Grand Oaks and their staff. If you want to have a party, don't hesitate to book them. You will be quite pleased with your choice!

Absolutely the best place to throw a party on a Staten Island. From the moment we walked in we knew we found our perfect place. Everything is done to perfection and no detail is missed. Carmela our event planner was incredible from the very beginning. She worked to learn exactly what we were looking for and went out of her way each and every time to ensure that we had everything we wanted. Their recommendations were always impeccable. They even special ordered neon napkins to make sure everything coordinated perfectly. Every employee there is professional and courteous. The day of our event went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough good things about the Grand Oaks. You will not be disappointed.

Just had my daughters baby shower here. We had The brunch menu . Everything was over the top delicious .
Margaret , Patty and especially Betty made our day the best The service was exceptional . I highly recommend the brunch everyone raved about all the choices they had to pick from !
Both My daughters sweet16s were at the grand plaza , bridal shower was at the Vanderbilt and now last but definitely not least the oaks

I came here with family to celebrate New Years Eve and spent about $125 for my ticket. The set up was beautiful. We had our own table and the ambiance was perfect for ringing in the New Year. This country club does not disappoint when it comes to decor. My issue here was the food situation.

For $125, there should be a sit down dinner, or at least a buffet. At the beginning of the night, they had light appetizers in the main ballroom. After about an hour, we were taken into a separate room with a buffet-style set up, most of which contained appetizer foods - fried calamari, small portions of beef Wellington, and penne vodka. Usually at catering halls on NYE, they either (a) let you know that this is the dinner you've been waiting for so you should stock up on what you like or (b) dinner is on its way and this is just the first course (pasta, etc). However, there was no dinner and I find it hard to justify why each of us spent $125 to leave hungry.

With so few dinner options, I had to deduct stars. Many people at my table left hungry and the dessert was lackluster as well. So few options. What happened?!

The music and ambiance made this all better, as did the open bar and good company. I would have given more stars if the food situation was better. Maybe next time!

This is a beautiful place to hold many events. We had a family communion here and the food, service, entertainment and views were absolutely amazing. Family and friends were all very pleased. Clean gorgeous and alot of rooms were having private parties it was great. Nice dance floor and the kids loved it. Not to mention the gorgeous golf course and scenery to take photos is so delighting.

Easter Brunch Disappointment!
I decided to take my family to the Easter Brunch because last year, we had a nice time and the food was very good. This year, I decided to take my family and my sister and her family. (9 of us ~$500 when all was said and done ).

Let's see, what was good? Our bus boy was very nice. They shouldn't leave the trays of garbage near the tables because my brother in law sat next to it and it was distrusting.

I ordered a round of Mimosas for the ladies and I had a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was served in a soda style glass with 2 Spanish olives. No celery.

The food:
The ham tasted funny.
The chicken Marsala was dry. Very dry.
The guy at the egg station was bitter. He clearly did not want to be there. He dropped an F bomb in front of my daughter because he did not like using cooking spray. (He wanted to use F'in butter) Her omelette was not appetizing. Needless to say she did not eat it nor did she go back for a new one.
No waffles or pancakes. Just French toast.
Cheese selection was stingy. Only 3 cheeses.
Hot dogs were ok.
Chicken tenders were good.
They ran out of Cannolis.
Other family members tried the Pasta and fish and they did not eat it with gusto. I think they felt bad to tell me, so they just said it was good even though they left most in there plate.

Very disappointed.

Very very disappointed in this place. I was recently at a bridal shower in April 2021 and for a party of 50 there were only 2 servers. We were in the downstairs room to the left. We had 2 very inexperienced servers for the whole party... They took our wine glasses when we weren't finished with our drinks, and left plates when we were finished. It was just a mess. The service was terrible, I didn't feel catered to, cared for or welcomed-- or that I was in a professional environment. The servers didn't introduce themselves to the table or make it feel high end. The hall had a very empty feel... no music playing in the lobby & the party room very very dim & again dirty....... My sister in law said it was going to be "White Glove Service" but the servers were not wearing white gloves. The best thing the servers did was make sure the napkins were rolled up nicely when someone got up from their seat.... The "ice cream bar" is a scam, it's set up so tacky and cheap in the middle of the room--no backdrop and no nice set up just 2 tubs of stainless steel ice cream container and the toppings were on 12 inch round table. The windows were completely dirty, water stained & not cleaned. The outdoor patio bricks were faded & there were cones, wires & odds & ends lying around the patio. The food taste was good but the sangria needed less sugar. The valet guys however were EXCELLENT & experienced.... They carried everyone's gifts in & displayed them nicely on the gift table. The main halls door was also opened, so as soon as you walked in you saw into an empty room..... These details the guests realize. The place needs to bring their energy back, be aware of all details and surroundings of the place, have the outdoor pavers finished/shines & needs a biweekly window cleaning-- they should also start by playing music in the main lobby. Sorry I just have to be honest. Also get rid of the showing wires on the patio & maybe add some tables, umbrellas and chairs to fill the space out there.

Had a dinner/ affair there on a Saturday & was pleasantly surprised everything was good food was good I ate everything ( had a 4 course meal salad , pasta , protein, dessert ) pretty standard but was happy , service was excellent witch to me shows a well run place , bartenders were excellent place was nice I enjoyed would definitely have a party there I liked it
