Somebody come shine the light on this place. The food and customer service is always on pointttttt whenever I come! It's located on the north shore of Staten Island, very old school tavern vibes, cozy, affordable and tasty. Bartender/server Carrie is so sweet!!! Check it out :)

Was visiting family I decided to stop in my old neighborhood and from a previous stop last year, I know that this place is a solid choice for both food and drink. Sitting at the bar I had a Guinness or two and decided to order pork chops based on the suggestion of the regulars sitting on either side of me. It was a solid recommendation because not only was it much tastier than anything that the chain restaurants offer, but even being very hungry I could barely finish it (the portions are big, they don't skimp). Even though the lady bartender is attentive enough to anticipate when you need a refill and the regulars are friendly, I am still somewhat hesitant to say much more and draw attention to what appears to be a hidden gem.

Is RMT another restaurant that has cut back on the quality of their dishes. IWe ordered shrimp Caesar wraps and a chicken Caesar wrap. All 3 wraps barely had any protein. I mean teeny tiny cut up pieces of shrimp. My daughter and I basically ate chopped up lettuce on a wrap. This was always a reliable and consistently good place to order from but not any more.

While I've had great experiences here before, I was somewhat disappointed. Both my sister and I tried to order dishes, only to be told they were not available. My sister attempted to order the spring rolls, me the chicken pot pie. As someone who was a waitress for over 10 years, it is best policy to inform customers when you give them the menu of any unavailable items. Also, the crab cakes which I've had in the past were not the same, or as good. Worse, I asked BEFORE I ordered. My sister did LOVE her sandwich though, the drinks were good, and the waitress was sweet. However, I left a $23.00 tip on a check of $90.00, no thanks...

The food here has gotten so much better over the years. It's become more than bar food
There are items off the menu that the kitchen will make for the most part if they have the raw ingredients to do so.
The specials menu has so many choices as well. I had the whiskey ribeye, and it hit the spot. Cooked as requested.
Service is friendly as usual. You're most likely to run into someone you know. Cozy backyard dining areaHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 7, 2021
This was my first time in Staten Island and my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a shot. It was a Saturday night and quite busy. I will say, the prices are very fair and the portions are generous. However, the food is just okay. We ordered the disco fries (fries with cheese and gravy.) When I order disco fries, I usually expect melted shredded cheddar cheese or something, but this was a whole lot of cheese wiz, which was fine. The French onion soup was good. My boyfriend got the open face Turkey sandwich which came with Turkey, tomatoes, bacon, rye bread, and as you can see, more cheese wiz. Like mass amounts of cheese wiz. Like I never thought I'd be saying this, but way too much cheese wiz. You can see from the picture that plate it is not the prettiest meal. It seriously felt like three scoops of cheese wiz. The Turkey was also pretty dry. It was honestly just an overwhelming amount of artificial cheese wiz and some nice, melted sliced cheese would've been much more enjoyable. The homemade chips were okay; they definitely needed salt in my opinion. My burger was a massive monster. I appreciated the amount of pulled pork they piled high on the burger and couldn't believe that it was only $1.50 more. However, I really did not like their choice of barbecue sauce. Both my boyfriend and I thought the sauce tasted very strange. Also, the sauce was just poured on top of the pork, rather than mixed in with it. I would've enjoyed the burger much more if I had no barbecue sauce and just added ketchup. Overall, I'm not really sure if I'd come back. Three stars because of the prices and portions.

First time here, came off of reviews and was not disappointed the least! Service is fast and friendly as can be, drinks are on point, good quality is up to par and portions are insane!
Not a very seafood friendly place but they gave a few options.
All in all, friendly little local bar/restaurant. Make reservations because seating is limited and be prepared to have leftovers for your next grumbling tummy moment.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
